Red
was the color of her lips
that pressed against his check
making his face turn a light shade of
Pink
like the flowers at the park he picked
that he put gently in her hair
as she sat quietly, her hand played in the grass
her pants were stained

with envy
as she talked on the phone,
laughing,
with someone
