"I love you!" Bubbles announced happily as she settled into bed next to Butch. Their relationship was full of tiny ups and huge downs, but she wouldn't want to be with anyone else no matter what.
"Love is for sissies." Butch grumbled as he pulled the covers over the both of them. God she takes forever to get to bed. How long does it really take to brush your hair, your teeth and put on pajamas?
Bubbles maneuvers to face her boyfriend. She pokes him in the chest. "Say you love me back."
He groans, because really do they have to do this every morning, day, and night? "No."
"Buuuutch!" Bubbles pouts as she wraps a leg over his waist. She's only thinking of cuddling, but Butch's mind wanders to the new interesting position she put herself in. He pulls her closer with one hand on her thigh. He absentmindedly moves his thumb back and forth on her bare skin. Damn short shorts…
"Butch, tell me you love me."
"I guess I love you." Butch admits. All the really wants is her to finally shut up so he can…
"I guess I love you more!"
He snorts with a small smile as he leans her head back to nibble on her neck. "I guess I love you more than most."
"I love you times infinity!"
"Infinity times two… I win."
Bubbles frowns as she pulls away from him. "Not fair! You can't times infinity cause it's the biggest number."
The dark haired ruff groans. "Saying I love you is boring!"
Crap. He just put his foot in his mouth and the waterworks will be starting any second now and he won't be able to get any tonight because of it. GoddamnstupidgirlswantingtosayIloveyouallthegoddam ntime.
"You're right." Bubbles ran her hand down his chest. "I love you like fire."
"Like fire, huh?" Butch pushed her down on the bed so he could be on top of her.
"Yes! I wanna set you on fire!"
What? "What!? You want to set me on fire?" Butch sat up.
Bubbles giggled uncontrollably. "See? Is that more entertaining?"
"Yeah, well I love you like water. I'm going to drown you." He pretends to spit on her, only to suck it back into his mouth a second later.
"EW! Gross! I love you like air I'm gonna suffocate you!" Bubbles tried to force him back on the bed and out of amusement Butch let her. She hugged his head towards her chest.
Butch wrestled her so he was back on top. "I love you like earth I'm going to bury you."
Damn Bubbles sure knew how to make saying 'I love you' fun, even if they were technically threatening each other.
