After Leo rescued Calypso from Ogygia, they decided not to return to either of the camps, but get married and settle down in the outskirts of California (just in case they needed help, they could contact Camp Jupiter).
Eight years later, the pair decided to visit Manhattan (it was Calypso's idea ;) for a few days.
On the second day of their trip, they decided to visit The Maritime Aquarium, located near the long island sound.
Leo and Calypso were standing near the Sharks exhibit, when a boy, about 7 years old with unruly black hair, slammed into Leo at full speed.
Only Leo's quick instincts stopped him from getting knocked over into the tank.
"I'm really sorry mister; I didn't mean to knock you over, I just really like sharks," the boy said, looking at Leo.
Leo than heard Calypso gasp and utter a name that he had not heard in eight years.
"Percy!" Leo glanced at a pale Calypso, and then back at the boy, who (Leo finally noticed) looked exactly like Percy Jackson, other than the fact that his eyes had gray flecks embedded in the green.
The boy looked at Calypso in confusion.
"No. I'm Luke, my dad is Percy he-"and was cut off by a man in an aquarium worker uniform, and a blond haired woman came running up to the group.
"Luke! What did I tell you about running off?" the blond woman said in a stern voice.
"Annie, let him be. He just wanted to see the sharks" the man said turning to the woman, "So sorry about that" he said, turning to Leo while extending his hand.
"Luke here loves sharks, but I should have been keeping a better eye on him. Anyway, my name is Percy Jackson, and this is my wife, Annab-"
"Annabeth Chase daughter of Athena," Leo said in one breath, slowly putting the pieces together.
The man, Percy, quickly grabbed Luke and pushed him towards his wife; His hand slowly drifting towards his pocket. "Who are you? You're not a monster, yet I don't seem to recognize you"
Leo stepped forward to talk, but Calypso beat him to it.
"Percy?" she whispered in a muffled voice, "How is the moonlace?"
Percy looked at her, recognization filling his eyes.
"Calypso?" he said, tears streaming down his face.
"Leo?" Annabeth said at the same time.
Leo looked at Calypso, and then back at the two of them.
He grinned from ear to ear.
"Leo Valdez, Super-sized Mcshizzle man, bad boy supreme is back!"
