Darkness. Darkness was all Ichigo Kurosaki could see, dark purple slowly faded into his eyes. His head was pounding to the rhythm of his heart. His vision gradually cleared as he sat up and noticed the grand doors of the Soul Society. Am I dead? he thought as he heard a groan to his left. He snapped his head, quick as lightning, to the sound. His gaze fell upon a dark skinned girl with chocolate eyes and ombre hair going from black on the tips to a lighter brown on top, she was in a traditional soul reaper uniform, just like him.
He staggered to his feet and slowly gained his balance to walk over. At the sound of his footsteps her eyes fluttered open and locked on his face. There was a cold, tense silence before she got up, almost clumsily, but she regained her balance. She grimaced in pain as her hand went to her head.

"Ugh. My head is killing me." She stated in a soft voice, almost inaudible. "Do you know what happened?" she asked. Ichigo opened his mouth but another voice spoke.

"No. but I do." They looked in the same direction. Their faces were glazed over in shock at the sight of another what would appear to be a soul reaper. She had peach skin and dark brown hair that matched her eyes that were magnified by her glittering black glasses"I'm Ishimoto, Cadia Ishimoto."

"Ich-." He stared to say.

"I know who you are, substitute soul reaper." Cadia glanced over to the other girl. "And you are?"

"Nesa Shimazaki." She said with a strong voice. She was tall and athletically built. Confidence radiated off of her like the sun. "You were saying you knew what happened to us?" she said sternly.

Cadia took a deep breath and started her explanation. "I don't know how, or why, but we all died at the exact same time. It's strange, given we're all set to be soul reapers, most likely at the lieutenant level."

"Oh…oh god…I'm really dead…ok…I'm ok…I'm ok." Nesa muttered trying to control her breathing. She was having a panic attack, aN often occurrence when she was alive.
"Hey, are you ok..?" asked Ichigo with concern in his eyes.

"Hug me." She said in all seriousness.

"What?" Ichigo said confused.

"Yeah what the hell?" Cadia said sounding confused as well.

By this time Nesa was finding it hard to breath. "I…I'm… having…." Now that she was dead, she couldn't get the words out. "You need to…hug me…it will calm me down." She said desperately.

Ichigo looked at Cadia then back at Nesa.

"Do it Ichigo." Cadia stated.

Ichigo slowly wrapped his arms around her, relaxing a little more after each deep breath she took. Nessa's breathing slowed soon after.
"I'm good now." She said awkwardly.

Ichigo blushed then released his arms. "Oh…sorry."

Cadia cleared her throat. "Shall we go in?" they nodded their heads in followed Cadia through the entrance to the Soul Society.

What will they find on the other side of the doors?
