Cotton Candy

A/N: So our drabbles of Tenten begin with a NejiTen... n-n I hope you enjoy this!

-At a Festival-

"Aw, c'mon, Neji! It'll just be a second! I just want some cotton candy!!" Tenten cried, chasing after Neji's retreating form.

"No is no, Tenten. Why do you want pure sugar rupturing your intestines, anyway?"

"…"

"…"

"You know, when you put it that way it makes it sound really sick,"

"That was the point of it, Tenten," he responded. "Now let's go. I can't stand to be in such a…happy place. Especially if it was for Uchiha."

Tenten sighed, obviously frustrated with Neji's usual cold feelings towards Sasuke's return. Then again, he was beaten nearly to death because of the boy… Walking behind him, she decided to defy fate, also known as Hyuuga Neji. She reached out a strong arm and latched it onto his upper arms.

"Hn?"

"Neji…I still want some cotton candy…"

"I told you n-"

Neji, caught off guard, was sent flying towards the cotton candy cart, courtesy of Tenten. He made direct contact with the metal cart, knocking it over. And all of a sudden his vision went…blue? Neji lifted a round object off his head and touched his head.

'Damn that Tenten…if what I think was on my head, she's gonna be really in for it…'

"Oh my god, Neji are you okay?!" Tenten yelled, running towards him.

"Hn," he replied.

"Okay, you're fine. Except for…ya know…" she mumbled, helping him up.

"Hn,"

"Fine, fine, I'll find a water fountain for us to wash it off,"

"…Hn,"

"You're welcome. And I'm sorry."

"…"

"Hmph! I said I'm sorry. You don't have to go implying some dumbass thoughts about massacring me."

"Who said I was?" he finally spoke, avoiding her gaze.

"Besides…" Tenten trailed, flicking her finger across Neji's cheek, "Blueberry is my favorite!" Neji watched as Tenten ate the 'disgusting sugar' that was once fixed to his face. She smiled in response. "And so are you Neji!" He turned his head away, silently cursing fate for embarrassing him.
