Clove ran through the woods trying to calm down from what had just happened.

She had left the Careers and now that they knew she had left them they had been trying to kill her.

The young girl held her knife tightly in her left hand and continued to walk through the woods.

Not only was she alone now but she has been secretly crushing on Katniss and knowing that the older girl would never love her back made Clove feel horrible.

It was also night time which to her was a good thing since it was hard to see maybe the Careers wouldn't find her more importantly Katniss wouldn't find her now.

"I hate these fucking games!"Clove yelled to herself.

It was then that the girl felt something she'd never felt before: Sadness.

"I'm not gonna cry I'm not gonna cry I'm stronger than this."Clove thought as she fought to hold back the tears that wanted to come out.

Suddenly Clove heard someone walking and froze in fear.

"Oh shit that's probably Cato looking for me."Clove thought once more.

As the footsteps got closer the small girl pointed her knife in the direction of the sound that got closer to her.

Clove started to shake in fear she truly was scared she was truly afraid.

Then Clove just couldn't take it anymore.

She began to cry and the sound of footsteps came closer to her.

"CATO JUST KILL ME QUICK!"Clove cried out as she dropped her knife and fell to her knees.

Then Clove felt arms wrap around her waist and pull her into a hug and then a voice said: "For one I'm not Cato and for Two I'm not going to kill you,"

The small girl looked up and saw Katniss looking down at her.

"I was just..just having a moment.."Clove sniffled.

"I can tell,"Katniss replied.

"What are you doing out here anyway?"Clove asked.

"I was headed back to my tree when I saw you crying,"Katniss answered.

"Well I'm just stressed I hate these games I hate it that people think of me as a killer when deep down I'm not I'm just confused and I almost got killed today and I feel weak and scared and-"

Before Clove could finish what she was saying she felt a pair of lips on hers.

The small girl started kissing back and in a minute the two broke apart.

"I love you Clove I've been in love with you ever since I saw you,"Katniss admitted.

"I love you too I just didn't think you'd love me back so I just tried to hide how I've felt,"Clove replied.

"Well there's no need to hide anything now so come with me,"Katniss added.

Clove nodded and then followed Katniss back to her tree where the two snuggled that night.

It was that night that Clove felt loved for the very first time and all of her fears and worries melted away as she slept in Katniss's arms.
