The day he got his orders to save the righteous man in Hell, Castiel put his armor on sporting iron and steel tips on his wings. The righteous man was a mass of shreds when Castiel found him. He made the soul whole with precision. When the righteous man could move, one of his hands gripped onto Castiel's arm. His eyes looked up into Castiel's with adoration. Castiel gave him breath and let him return to the mortal plane.
Now Castiel's only sporting a trench coat. He stands closer to Dean sometimes, hoping he'll remember when they fell in love.
