AN: I'm going with the Brotherhood storyline because I feel like the second anime has a lot more action and fun in it than the first.

Chatper 1: Harry Hawkeye, the Red Lotus Alchemist

Harry walked down the hallway of Central Headquarters with only a slight hint of nervousness. Today was the day he would be accepted into the Military as a State Alchemist like Ed. He had studied Alchemy since he was very small. His adopted mother, Riza Hawkeye, had found him abandoned on a doorstep by a man in purple robes with and a long white beard. He had already passed the written portion of the test and it was just as difficult as Ed and Al, who had taken but not passed the written, but just barely, said it would be. His type of special Alchemy relied on rearranging the explosive properties of an object and bringing them forth in a large explosion much like the Crimson Alchemist Kimbley Solf. The difference with Harry is that he isn't insane with bloodlust.

He stood in front of Fuhrer Bradley himself and his advisors. Ready, he clapped his hands with the intricate designs of alchemic symbols as the soldiers aimed their rifles at him as he requested.

Bang! Shots where fired. Harry spread his hands wide and let the alchemic energy flow through him.

BOOM BOOM BOOM! All of the bullets blew up in mid air with red, crackling energy surrounding them.

"Hmm, very interesting." Fuhrer Bradley said in his fatherly tone. "I take it you've read Kimbley Solf's notes?"

"Yes sir." Harry said standing at attention. "I've tried many forms of Alchemy and this type seems to work for me sir."

Bradley Chuckled. "At ease son." He said kindly. "Men, I think we have our new State Alchemist."

…...

"I passed!" Harry said excitedly as he burst through the door of his and his mom's home where everyone was waiting. "I'm a State Alchemist now!" He showed them his pocketwatch. And handed Ed his certificate. He wanted to find out what they named him with everyone else.

"We hereby dub thee, Harry Hawkeye, Red Lotus." Ed read out loud.

"I like it." Harry said with a scary smile "Its nice and intimidating."

"You do realize this means I'm your superior now and you have to obey my orders right?" Ed asked snidely with a grin at the younger boy.

"And you have to obey my mom's orders." Harry pointed out. "She's your superior to."

"That's right, so watch your step FullMetal." Riza Hawkeye said behind Ed who cringed in fear at her scariness.

Harry smiled as his mom terrified his friend. Not noticing an owl pass by their window in the daytime. To Be Continued...

There will be a time skip in the next chapter but the main storyline for Brotherhood will just have started.
