Time frame- post Espada Arc
Setting- a broken soul society licks its wounds after a cataclysmic siege. Aizen's assault on kaukura was thwarted by the Gotei 13, but kaukura proved to be a stomping ground for things to come. Aizens's Espada and fraccion spread to calculated areas around the globe, areas high in spirit pressure that could be used as alternatives if kaukura were to fail. Sixteen 'lustre' cities were targeted and soul societies finest were spread thin. Azien and his Espada were defeated but in its wake the battle left soul society cripple with the ghost of the former protection squads, all of the captain perished in their battles. Many vice captains fell as well and the battle grounds were rampant with renegade hollows. Some souls at the battle sites obtained shinigami powers from amassed reiatsu, and it is the lives of three of these that this story follows.
