"'I hate you'. Why do you say that? I know you don't really hate me."
"Oh, you know it, do you?"
"I... I'm fairly certain you don't hate me."
"Because..." Because it's easier than telling you how I really feel. Because it's easier than saying 'I love you' and then dying inside as I watch your complete inability to say it back. Because it's easier to walk away when you don't see how it kills me to do it.
"Because?"
"Because sometimes... I really do hate you."
