So... I was bored during Social Studies because my epic teacher decided we have the whole week off from work! So, to help conquer boredom, I wrote two one-shots. Here's one. cobaltMnemosyne helped edit this.

When you first went blind, it was a struggle. You had to learn how to depend on your sense of hearing rather than your sight.

Once you got used to the permanent darkness, you thought it was really cool to be the only one out of your group that could sniff and taste colors. You didn't need your sight! You were perfectly fine!

Except for one thing. But right now, it doesn't matter.

When you first really talked to Dave, it was a fun game of exchanging drawings and photos. He was a good artist, and a better friend. But for some reason, Karkat disagreed. You and Dave became closer and closer as time went on, but you had strictly pale feelings for each other. You had tried a red relationship with him, but it wasn't meant to be. Besides, you had your sights set on someone else. (Pun intended.)

But that person wasn't Gamzee. He just sends you over the edge. You hated him, but you can't seem to get away from him. It was like as if he had you under a spell and you couldn't seem to break it. Gamzee had teased you for so long about your blindness, so one night, you snapped. You allowed yourself to be healed, for your sight to return.

The healing process took some time. The first person you saw was Gamzee. Not the troll you wanted to see.

When you first saw him, he was disappointed in you. He sat down in a chair and talked to you. It was nice, but it wasn't what you wanted.

You wanted him to take you into his arms, to comfort you. To help you through everything. As matesprits.

But all you had was his friendship. You had your sight, but not his love. The healing was for nothing.

That was just a quick little thing. Read and Review!
