The sickly green core awoke from sleep mode, and awoke Chell from her slumber by merely pressing a simple button. It wasn't difficult. In fact, it was quite simple. She then went back to her own post and did her normal routine.
Chell awoke with a small yawn and a stretch. A portal opened up at the "door" and she walked through it, curious as to where it lead. She found herself outside of the small chamber and face to face with tall, gingery-blond haired freckle-faced girl who looked as if she was seventeen.
"Hello there!" the girl said with a British accent and a peppy attitude. "I'm Allyson Jane Thiessen, but most just call me 'Ally'. Funny thing, I'm actually an AI android, and I'll be your official test chamber guide given to you by GLaDOS! No, I sadly can't give you the answer, but I can give you hints. The only sad thing is that I actually have to DO the tests with yo-" Ally paused for a moment. "I'm rambling, aren't I... Oh snap.. Anyway, back to testing, right!" Chell shrugged and walked on to the first test by walking through the door, the android following close behind.
"So uhm, y'see that cube over there? Well, you have to do something with it, and that something I can't tell you, sadly," Ally said with an awkward smile. Chell figured it out easily, placed the cube on the button, and continued testing by stepping through the door.
Many tests later...
Chell and Ally managed to make it to the last test, and were now heading towards a fire on a sliding rail.
"Congratulations! The test is now over." Said GLaDOS on the speaker. "All Aperture technologies remain safely operational up to 4000 degrees Kelvin. Rest assured that there is absolutely no chance of a dangerous equipment malfunction prior to your victory candescence. Thank you for participating in this Aperture Science computer-aided enrichment activity. Goodbye."
"Quick! Shoot a portal up there and down here and we can make it out!" said Ally, a worried tone in her voice for once. Chell nodded and did that very thing, the two friends then jumping through and saving their lives.
"What are you doing? Stop it! I... I... We are pleased that you made it through the final challenge where we pretended we were going to murder you. We are very, very happy for your success."
"Yeah right." The android whispered. "She's being sarcastic again."
"We are throwing a party in honor of your tremendous success. Place the device on the ground, then lie on your stomach with your arms at your sides. A party associate will arrive shortly to collect you for your party. Make no further attempt to leave the testing area."
Both Chell and the AI looked for a way out. Then, suddenly, Ally found it. "Sorry, GLaD! We're getting outta here! You killed my mother, and I'm FINALLY gonna get you back, monster!" Chell was a bit confused at this statement, but opened the door and the two companions ran through it.
"Assume the party escort submission position or you will miss the party." The other AI ordered through the announcer speakers...
