Anakin stood over his injured rival and former master. He raised his lightsaber above his head and stared into the eyes of Obi-Wan.
"Anakin!" Kenobi screamed. "You were my brother! You were the Chosen One! You were supposed to bring balance to the Force! You were meant to destroy the Sith, not join them! Stop this madness, you're a Jedi!"
"The Jedi are traitors to the Republic! By destroying their Order, I AM bringing balance to the Force."
"No Anakin, the Jedi are not the traitors. Your new master, Palpatine. He is the traitor to the Republic. He has poisoned your mind and…."
"No!" Anakin interrupted. "His has not poisoned my mind. He has opened my eyes. He has shown me the truth. He has shown me power that I could never imagine."
"He has only shown you his truth. He has corrupted your mind with the dark side. Let go of your anger Anakin. Push back your hate. Remember the Code."
"Shut up! The Code is a lie! The Jedi, all Jedi are traitors. All Jedi must die, and that includes you!"
"No, please Anakin, don't do thi….."
Kenobi's pleas were cut short as Anakin brought his saber down in a single stroke, ending the life of his former mentor.
