It was a summer day, and Bonnie and her family are at the zoo. Woody said to the toys, "What do you say we learn about animals, because Bonnie's at the zoo?"
Buzz said, "Good idea, Woody. We can look up tons of animals on the computer. There are also lots of animals like a cougar, antelope, etc. Some have blood with different temperatures."
Trixie said, "To the computer!"
Bonnie's toys go over to the computer, and Woody manned the keyboard. "What animal should we look up first? It could be an animal of any choice."
Jessie spoke up, "How about we look up something about…"—She pondered for a minute—"…penguins! I've been curious about penguins!"
Woody said jovially, "Penguins it is!" He typed the keyword and hit enter. Buzz joined his friend and was fascinated. "Wow, penguins are so cool!"
They jump down to the floor, and Woody said to the toys, "Penguins are a set of flightless birds."
"Interesting." Jessie said, "But because a penguin is a bird, I bet it could fly."
'No, Jessie. Penguins are flightless, but they do have a tendency to swim. Oh, yeah, and they reside in the cold regions of Antarctica." Dolly said.
"Whoa!" Jessie shivered. "That's extremely cold. But their special feathers are like a coat to keep them warm and comfortable."
"Nice observation, Jessie. In that case, let's act like penguins and see the characteristics of their behavior." Buzz said.
The toys all begin to waddle around like penguins. Woody, who was waddling along with Buzz, laughed, "This is fun, huh?"
"Yeah, this animal acting is so much fun!" Buzz chuckled.
"Hey, let's look up another animal!" Mr. Pricklepants said.
"Good idea!" Woody said. He and Buzz went back up to the keyboard and said, "Let's look up something about lions." He typed the keyword and Buzz pressed enter. Upon pressing images, there was tons of lion images on the search page.
Buzz said, "Lions are like giant cats, and they bellow this huge roar."
"Yep. Just like Rex." Woody said. "Let's all be lions by acting like them."
The toys all started to act like lions, by roaring. Jessie pretended to be a lion by letting out a pretend roar. "That's a good one, Jessie!" Dolly crooned.
"How about we look up more animals?" Woody asked.
"Great idea. How about we see images of fish?" Buzz said.
Once again, they go up to see images about fish. Woody replied, "Fish are limbless cold-blood animals that come in different sizes."
Woody said, "Let's be fish." They jump down to the floor, and the toys all purse their lips together to make a fish face and they slowly wave their hands."
They spent hours of animal behavior, by looking up more and more animals such as elephants, sea lions, frogs, beavers, dolphins, dogs, cats, seahorses, crabs, etc, and they act out their behaviors.
A little while later, Bonnie's toys race back to the bedroom and fall limp. Bonnie comes into the room, looking all excited. "Toys, guess what! There were all kinds of animals at the zoo!"
"Bonnie! It's time to head out for some dinner, honey!" Bonnie's mom called out.
"See ya, toys!" Bonnie waved. She rejoins her parents, and the toys come back to life. Woody said to his friend, "We should start seeing animal behaviors more often."
Buzz said, "Couldn't agree more."
