"I saw Nino and Alya yesterday." Marinette said.

"Oh really? Were they excited to see you?" Adrien asked and smirked at her.

"They said they were happy to see me. But Nino really misses you." Marinette mumbled as tears started falling down her face.

Adrien frowned, "Huh.. well I guess I better go visit him." He shrugged.

"You know you can't do that, Adrien." Marinette glared at him.

"I'm.. sorry.. I know I just miss him too." He said as tears started falling down his face too.

It was silent for a moment as the two sat on the white bench.

"Louis... Louis had his first steps this morning." Marinette said as she looked up into his green eyes.

"Really?! That's amazing! Fast learner just like his father was." Adrien smiled proudly, making Marinette laugh a bit.

"It was really cute. I wish Tikki and Plagg were able to see it." Marinette said then gulped. "There are still no news on whether it's safe enough to go back into Paris yet."

"And my father? Has anyone heard from him yet?" Adrien asked then frowned when Marinette shook her head.

"There's still no news on whether Papa, Mylene and Marc are even safe or okay in that place! Even Lila or Kagami-" Marinette started breaking down more and more after every word. "-or Chloè or.. or-" "Marinette.." "-or Ms. Bustier.. or Mayor Bour-" "Marinette!" Adrien cut her off and she suddenly stopped.

"They.. they're alright.. your father is a smart man.. he must've.. found refuge somewhere in Paris! Maybe even outside of it!" Adrien exclaimed. "And soon everyone will be home safe and sound!"

"But.. but even if papa comes home safe and sound.. not everyone will be safe and sound! It.. it can never be everyone!" Marinette cried. "All because of me!"

"Marinette..." Adrien sighed.

"No! No, Adrien! I am the reason you can't be with us! I.. I am the reason you can't even see your own children anymore!" Marinette cried. Adrien sighed.

"Bugaboo... we.. we all make mistakes sometimes.. I may not be able to see my little kittens right now but now is not forever. I know you will find a way, Marinette. I know you will restore Paris and bring me and everyone else home because you-" he said pointing to her. "-are miraculous." He said then put something in her hands and closed it up.

"Don't open it up until you leave" He whispered in her ear and then kissed her cheek. He got up and started to walk away from her into the white emptiness of the city of miraculous.

"Wait, Adrien! Don't go!" Marinette exclaimed. He stopped and sighed.

"They're calling me, Marinette. Tell my kittens I love them and will be home soon.. tell Nino and Alya the same thing." He then started to walk away again.

"But Adrien! You know I only get to see you once a-" she stopped talking for a moment when he dissappeared. "-month..." She sighed and rubbed her wet eyes with her empty hand then walked to the exit.

Once she was out and the gate had dissappeared, she opened her hand... the one Adrien put something in. She gasped when she saw what lay on her palm

It was the Ladybug Miraculous.
