Hey everyone I hope you like this story. The title might not make sense now, but please bare with me and it will soon. This is an Hellsing story with a character death in and just so no one sues me. I do not own Hellsing or any of the characters from the series.

Prologue
Choosing an Heir.
Integra knew she was never going to have a child. So she decided that she would choose someone from her staff to be her heir. She went through all her records trying to find the right person. But as she went through them she kept coming up with a question could she trust there heirs ?. Because even if she could trust the person she choose she knew one day it be past to there heirs. And since there was no way to insure they're heir, would be able to handle Hellsing that left only one choice.
Seras had just woken up from her sleep, when she was called to Integra's office. So she quickly got dressed and headed to the office. She thought it was probably just another mission and was expecting to see her Master there to. But when she enter the office she was surprised to see the only one in the room, other than herself was Integra. Who looked up and at Seras and said "ah Seras thank you for coming in so fast. Please will you sit down I have something important I most discuss with you."
'What could she want to speak to me about and where Master' Seras thought to herself nervously. But she did as was asked and sat down on the chair in front of Integra's desk. Then Seras realized something and that was Integra had call her Seras. Which confused her so now she was really confused, nervous and a little scared. Seras took an un-needed breathe (unneeded since she don't breathe now that she's a vampire.) And asked "What is it you need to speak to me about sir".
Integra had seen the nervousness, confusion and fear on Seras's face. So she know she had to be careful how she went about this. " you have been loyal to Hellsing for years now Seras. Even after your Master freed you, you continue to serve him and Hellsing. I have come to know you every well of late and I believe you maybe to only one I trust with this." As Integra looked at Seras she noticed that now there was worry on her face too. So she took a deep breathe and added " I have decided to choose you as my heir apparent to take over the organisation when I'm gone."
"But but what , why, how?" asked Seras shakedly "And what about Master"
"I want to be my heir Seras. Because I can't" stated Integra. Then added "Seras your the only one I trust for this. Please your loyal, smart had have the heart for this job. No one will need to know until you take over and in the main time I train you up ".
They talking for hour on the subject. While Alucard was off on a mission on the other side from England . Seras sighed and finally but reluctantly agreed to be Integra Heir.
Integra did the ceremony with the help of her new butler . During the ceremony Integra had Seras drank some of her blood. Which was a lot more than Alucard had drunk during his ceremony of bonding. So the ties between Seras and Integra where stronger , than the ones between Integra and Alucard.
Well that's it for this chapter sorry it's short. But I will update asap though I am going away for a few days. So I don't know when I can get the time.
