This boy's name was Higami Ren. He was currently in appointment with his doctor.

"I'm sorry, but...you only have a month at least," the doctor calmly said as he placed a few paperwork onto the table while the young teen was still in shocked to hear about his fate. In his line of work, he had already experienced countless of reaction over the same cases, especially for the young people who yet to achieve their dream in life. He pity those kind of people the most. They were too young to have such ending. Young people were always full with energy and ambition, yet as human they can do nothing to avoid a fate set on a stone.

Ren was trembling, too many dissatisfactions in life were about to release from his tiny heart. First, he was an abandoned baby who were placed on a poor , it wasn't enough. He was too sickly to try something new and have to visit hospital frequently. And now, when he finally found something that he really fond and dedicated into, this happened. This. Shit. Happened!

"B-but...Junior Championship is next year..."

"That's why I suggested you to stop skating. Please don't restrain your fragile body anymore than this. It's going to eat you faster than you can imagine," the doctor cut the teen.

Ren was in despair.

"Yes! She nailed it! Maya Gekinojo had landed her 3rd quad perfectly!"

Ren stared directly to the LCD screen television outside the electrical store with blank eyes. World Championship Final was airing as the heavy rain was pouring as if its trying to wash the despair in his heart yet it can never deny the fact that he won't be able to make his most important debut in his beloved sports as his time was running out. He won't be able to compete, he won't ever make it to podium and what's more, he won't be able to impress his idol.

Ah...she was too far away...

Gekinojo Maya was literally a Goddess. Her performance always, always for some reasons cheering him whenever he was sad and lost. And not to mention that everytime he saw her on TV, he always felt a connection between them. No, it's not romantically love, but unexpectedly a familial love that he felt everytime he saw her skated. She also had tendency to choose sad song for SP and and then a catchy and cheerful song in FS just like him, making him felt even more connected to her.

He won't be able to show her his free skate now...

And she won't know that he exists.

Ren finally had returned to earth as he heard a voice calling for him from the next junction. It was his little brother with his friends calling for him. They weren't related to blood but they were very close to each other and the orphans and staffs in their orphanage were the only family that Ren have in this world. The fourth grade student then quickly rushed to get his big brother, not realizing a big truck was heading towards his direction in full speed.
