Disclaimer: If I owned Gilmore Girls, would I be writing this fanfic, I would probably be keeping Jess on the show and Seducing him at the same time….so don't sue….
She knew that life was more than what she had.
She thought that he would wait for her forever.
She wished that he would whisper the three words again.
She wanted him to be with her.
She would kill to have him around her, his hair in her fingers, his lips on hers.
She loved the way he always smirked.
She hated that he ran away and broke her heart.
She believed that hearts were broken because someone would fix it.
She hoped that he would be the one who fixed what he broke.
She felt like they gave up on each other.
She craved for him all the time.
She told herself that he wasn't worth it.
She asked herself if he loved her the way she loved him.
She found that he was irresistible in everyway.
She heard him when he told her to go back to school.
She cried for hours realizing she never told him she still loved him.
Now, she stands beside a tree watching his fiancé walk down the aisle.
This is her last chance to say something.
"If anyone objects, speak now or forever hold you peace," The priest declares.
She watches as no one says anything.
They say their 'I do's'. They kiss. It all ends.
He looks at her. For the first time, his eyes look happy.
He had seen her, hiding, tears falling from her face.
She takes the note that has all her feeling on it, crumples it, and tosses it on the grass.
She walks away, for the first time; it's her who is leaving.
He watches her back and his heart sinks, maybe just maybe, he didn't love her. But that is wishful thinking.
Going towards the car with his wife, he picks up the note. He reads is slowly and carefully.
They would always love each other, but they would never be together. He tosses the note on the ground again and climbs into his 'just married' car.
A kid later that day who is walking on the streets picks up the note.
You were right. You were always right, we were meant to be together. I guess, what I'm trying to say is I love you Jess, I always have, and if you knew that, I would be the one in that wedding dress. I guess, you can't always get what you want. The only thing I want is you. I'll miss you, I'm leaving, I don't know where I'll go. Maybe I'll go to Italy or Fiji. I'll live by your "I'll go wherever and do whatever" rule. I love you. Rory
