Well… Perhaps it wasn't' for the best, in the end.
Perhaps Kankuro shouldn't have ever dropped the exams. After all, it wasn't as though he couldn't win, nor was it because he was in too bad of shape to win. It was merely a matter of convenience; he was spared the trouble of spilling any more unnecessary blood, and moreover, spared the unfortunate fate of having to fight Gaara in a game without rules.
But, looking back, he would've liked to fight Uchiha Sasuke. The boy might've been the most stuck-up, holier than thou prick he'd met since he'd had the displeasure of being introduced to the Hyuga, but he sure know how to give a good fight, and right now Kankuro would give anything in the world to fight that gorgeous raven with the sharingan eyes.
