Night seized over the regal area of Canterlot. Ponies were tucked in their beds, others were at the Night Club, and some were watching the stars. In the midst of this huge town was Canterlot Castle, home to the rulers of Equestria, Princess Celestia, and her younger sibling, Princess Luna. That night, Luna was on the balcony of the castle, raising the moon and the stars one last time. Once they were in perfect posistion, she levitated her telescope towards herself with her magic, hoping for a little enjoyment. Suddenly, a faint noise was heard in Luna's ears.
"Mhahaha..."
She turned her head around quickly, letting the telescope fall.
"Who goes there? In the name of my sister, who goes there?" She bellowed to the unknown voice.
There was no reply.
"Hmm, that's unusual. The royal guards were well prepared for tonight. Who could this visitor be? We shall search the castle for the tresspaser!"
She went downstairs, searching every corner of the hallways and the rooms. Before long, Luna insisted that she needed help. She walked to the royal guestroom, where Princess Cadence, the ruler of the Crystal Empire, was staying. She knocked, only to get no reply.
"Cadence? There is a tresspaser in the castle. I insist that you help me immediantly."
Still, there was no reply.
She tried twisting the door knob, only to find that it was locked.
Oh no, Luna thought, What if the tresspaser if a muderer?!
It was a silly thought, but it could be true. If there was a muderer, what if he got a hold of Celestia? Luna trotted to the room next doors, which was her sister's. She knocked again, this time, however, she heard a reply.
"Sister? There is a tresspasser! Cadence has gone missing!"
Celestia opened the door. Clearly, it wasn't a good idea to wake up a alicorn at the middle of the night. She had messy hair, and bags under her eyes.
"Luna? I was just about to sleep. I will play along in your silly games for now, but next time, I will not." Celestia replyed.
"I infer you that this is not a game. Cadence's door is locked very well. She has never done that once in her visit."
"True, but she could just be busy." Celestia guessed.
"She could. But isn't it her job to spread love? I mean, how could you spread love with a door closed?" Luna joked.
Celestia facepalmed, "Luna, this is no time to be-Ack!"
Somehow, Celestia was sinking into a pool of a black colored liquid . She was sinking into the floor, and before she could reach for Luna, she had sunk into the darkness.
"Tia!" Luna shouted.
Suddenly, the pool disapeered as quick as it had appeared. Luna pannicked.
"Mhahahaha..." The same unknown voice laughed.
Luna head turned around, and she saw a pony, completly black, and red eyes blazing brightly.
"Your next..." It hissed.
Luna did what was the most resonable thing to do. Run. She rushed to the nearest window, and flew. She could not risk being captured by that thing! It was to risky for there to be no more princesses except her and Twilight.
Twilight, She thought, I must get her help. She'll know what caused this!
She flew throught the sky, flying towards Ponyville.
