Sadness
The full moon gazed above the clouds as Soma Cruz sprang along the woods below. Every part of his body protested but he didn't listen.
She was in danger. Why did it always have to be her? They didn't come after him, they came after her. The tree`s maze finally gave out into a path. Blood covered gravel lead out to the moon glazed clearing.
They were gone. She was there, bleeding, barley alive. Her once brushed fiery orange hair was now a ranged mess. Her small white skirt was stained red, like wine bleeding out of a bottle into a glass.
He rushed over to her side. Her broken body layed in his hands. If he didn't leave, would it have been different? If he stayed and protected her against them?
Her clothing was halved ripped off. Her shirt was ripped reviling her flat stomach. Her amber eyes opened, only half way.
He looked at her, sadness showed in her eyes. She cuddled up against him.
"Soma," she said her voice barley a whisper.
She weakly held on to his neck, slowly leaning up she locked him in a kiss. For once, nothing was wrong. Nothing mattered but her. They weren't in danger and she was ok.
Then reality hit him when she broke away. She snuggled up against his chest and leaned her head back. Slowly, her steady breathing stopped.
"Mina," he said into her chest.
Mina Hakuba was no more.
Soma couldn't contain the darkness. He had to get revenge on those responsible for her death. Darkness surrounded him. It consumed him and he set off, to kill those responsible. Responsible for talking his happiness away, his light.
His eyes snapped open. His fast breathing slowly steadied as he realized it was a dream.
A vivid dream. It could happen. He couldn't stay. He couldn't stay here.
Quickly throwing on a pair of jeans and a black top he went to his closet and grabbed a short stubby sword and throw it in a bag. Grabbing his white coat he set off. To give Mina a life, away from darkness.
I`m so cruel. R&R. The first in my collection of AoS/DoS oneshots.
