"Axel, are you sure that this is the right way?" Roxas called. Axel was about ten paces ahead of him on the trail. Roxas lagged behind; mainly because of all the stuff he was carrying.

"Yes Roxas I am, now come on well be late!" Axel started to walk even faster, despite the large cooler he was carrying.

Roxas sighed but continued following, he tried to readjust the weight in his arms but it only seemed to make it worse. Axel said that this was the best spot to see the fireworks, but Roxas was just hoping he wasn't wrong.

It was the Fourth of July weekend, and the spot where they usually go was packed with other people. Axel had went looking for another spot and apparently found one, but it was quickly getting dark and Roxas didn't want to miss the fireworks.

Suddenly the narrow path opened up into a small clearing. It wasn't to small, just big enough for the two of them to lay the blanket out and look through the trees. The best part was that nobody knew about it, so they were totally undisturbed.

"Axel?" Roxas called. The cooler that Axel was carrying was here but Axel seemed to have disappeared.

"Right here Roxy" A voice said. "I'll just be a minute."

"Alright" Roxas pulled out the blanket and spread it out over the grass. It covered almost all the grass in the clearing. Roxas laid on top of it, relaxing, stretching his hands up over his hands. He let out a long sigh, the warmth left over from the July sun created a perfect blanket of warmth.

Unexpectedly a pair of arms grabbed Roxas. His eyes opened only to see Axel learning over him, a sly smirk on his face. Roxas felt his heart almost seem to stop with relief when he realized that it was just Axel.

"Oh, you jerk. You know I hate it when you sneak up on me" Roxas hit his hand against Axel's chest, hoping to knock the breathe out of him. It seemed to have no effect though, as Axel just chuckled.

"Come on Roxy relax, just go with the flow." Axel was still chucking as he said it.

"You sound like a hippy" Roxas grumbled. Axel laughed harder.

"Oh yea, well let's see what you do when I do this!" Axel began tickling Roxas' sides, where he was extremely sensitive.

Roxas laughed uncontrollably, he couldn't stop. Axel just kept on tickling despite the protests he was getting from Roxas. Roxas withered under him, trying both to grab his sides and Axel's hands at the same time. He was failing miserably.

"Alright! Alright! Uncle! Uncle!" Roxas was laughing so hard that tears started streaming down his face. Axel rolled of him and instead laid next to him.

Roxas laughs slowly died down and soon he was just lying there out of breathe with aching sides. He turned and glared at Axel.

"What?" Axel said innocently. Roxas just sighed. "You couldn't just expect me to leave you all alone in the position that you were in, did you?" Axel said.

Roxas let out another sigh and settled down next to Axel. "Yea, I guess you're right I should have expected it but still you had no right." This just made Axel chuckle again. He kissed Roxas' forehead.

They laid there in silence, both staring at the emerging stars. The fireworks were due to start any second, and neither one wanted to miss a second. Just when the two thought that maybe the fireworks weren't going to happen, the fireworks suddenly exploded in the sky.

The beautiful light filled the sky, painting it a million different colors. As they all exploded in the sky, Axel and Roxas broke away from the mesmerizing sight to look instead at each other. They kissed passionately under the sounds and sights of the fireworks. A night they remembered forever.
