Yamue was born a twin. Her sister had light pink hair, and was born crying, but angelic. Yamue was born with a full head of black, pink woven in all around. Both girls were born with the same bluish cucumber green eyes.
An oracle was summoned to look at the children. Of the first child she smiled sensing a strong, healthful presence. With one look at the second wrapped bundle her smile vanished. She glared at the newborn, "This child is a devil. She shall bring horrible things to this family and it's home." The old woman turned on her heel.
As she walked away she looked onto the fearful parents, "Take heed, and cast this hell-spaw from your lives. She is of no use to you." The oracle was gone.
The girl was left in the home, and though she was not treated as well as her counter-part she loved her family all the same. One day she brought a stray cat into the house. The cat was calm and quiet, it never left the young girl's side.
On the girls' third birthday the same oracle was sent to check on the children. She frowned at the girl with dark hair, "I see you have left that demon here." The woman scrutinized the little cat at said demon's side. "That cat will show your daughter's true nature you, then you will know what I have warned you of. It is then that you can rid yourself of her. I shall not return as she is still residing here," and the elder was gone.
