Her dream was completely dark, which was unusual from her typical vibrant dreams. Everywhere she turned blackness consumed her vision. She was keeping her calm, but it was being chipped away slowly by the eerie quietness. Then the noise came from nowhere, and yet seemingly everywhere. It was a woman's sob. It started as a sob, but was slowly becoming a wail full of "Oh, no's". She recognized the voice, it was voice she was familiar with.

"Mom?" She questioned the blackness.

Slowly before her eyes a man started to appear. He was wearing a black suit with a red tie. His orange hair was spiked in every direction and his glasses sat on the bridge of his nose.

"Loke?" She was confused and worry was starting to form in the pit of her stomach.

His hand reached up and caressed the young girls face.

"You look so much like her," he sighed and let his hand drop from her face, "Go to her. She needs you. They both need you." With those words he disappeared, and she shot up in bed.

She didn't bother turning on the lights as she let her covers slip off and crept down the hallway to her parent's room. The sobs got louder as she got closer to the door. She gently pushed the door open to find her mom sitting on the edge of her bed and her dad kneeling on the floor crying into her moms lap.

"Mom? Dad?" she whispered, the pit in her stomach growing as she thought of the possibilities for this crying in the middle of the night.

Her mom looked up with red and puffy eyes. As a tear escaped her eye another would soon take its place. She gasped to take a breath from all her crying.

"It's your uncle." The blonde ran her hand through her husband's pink hair.

Tears began to form in her eyes, "Which uncle momma?" She slowly inched forward to her parents.

Her dad finally spoke as he lifted his head from her mothers lap, "It's Gajeel." She had never seen her dad cry before. Natsu Dragneel was not known for his tears, but rather his proud attitude and his fire skills.

"Ga-Gajeel? Her voice caught. Gajeel is her favorite uncle. Standing 6'5", he is a monster among men, but underneath it all he was a giant teddy bear. He would often come visit their house and bring his guitar and belt out new songs he had written the previous week. "Daddy, what about Uncle Gajeel?" The tears were coming out of her eyes before she could stop them.

"He was in an accident sweetie." Her mom reached for her hand and pulled her next to him.

"Okay, he's alright though. He's going to be fine right?" She squeezed her mom's hand, but she could see the answer in her eyes. "Oh no," she couldn't stop the tears. She fell into her mother's bosom and did not suppress her cries anymore.

The family wept together and held each other close as the loss began seeking in.
