AN: Set during the fourth movie: Ice Age Continental Drift. Rated High T for death and mentioned dismemberment.

"Come with us. Come with me." Diego said, looking into Shira's eyes.

A stiff nod was all she gave him, and they were off and running. As they made a break for the boat, Diego heard Gut and his pirates approaching, so he had to think fast.

They jumped, just as the ship hit open water.

Landing, her claws digging into the surface of the ship to keep her steady, Shira smiled as she looked up at Diego with a smile. Only to realize he wasn't there. He was clinging to the ship with his claws.

And then she saw Gut jump. Instead of landing on the ship, he grabbed Diego.

His claws were unable to hold the weight of himself and Gut on the ship. They fell, down off of the ship.

Shira and the others ran to the side of the ship, seeing Diego on the ice, not moving. Gut was glowering at them from the ice beside Diego.

"We have to help him!" Shira went to jump off of the ship, but felt the mammoth's trunk grabbing her. "What are you doing!?" She growled, struggling against him.

"We can't! The current is pulling us out!" Manny said, picking up Shira and turning before setting her down. He looked back as Diego was becoming smaller. "He'll make it back. He's the most determined tiger I've ever met."

"What do you mean?" Shira asked, looking to Manny. Her anger becoming curiosity.

Sid smiled sadly. "It all started when Manny saved me from some rhinos.."

Granny sat down. "Oh, story time." She said as Manny turned to look at Sid and tell the story as well.

Diego felt Gut landing on him, and he couldn't hold that much weight. Not for long. So, in order to give the others a chance at escape, he let go. He landed hard on a chunk of ice, falling unconscious.

"Wake up!" He felt water splashed on his face. He woke up to see Gut and his crew looking at him. The monkey in question looking very angry.

"You stole my bounty, my ship, the loyalty of my crew and made a fool of me." Gut growled.

Diego chuckled. "I- I don't have to try to do that." He stood up, only to got knocked down again by Gut, on his back with a clawed hand at his throat.

"I gave your friend a visual aid." Gut said, flexing his other hand. "Now, let me provide you with the first hand experience.

Diego's eyes widened as Gut's hand came down. The last thing he saw was a flash of red and warmth incompass his body before everything faded.

Shira blinked, hearing the story come to an end. "Wow. He did all of that?"

Sid nodded. "Yeah. Nothing can keep Diego down."

Manny nodded. "Yeah. That tiger, he's a real dependable one."

Later that night, Shira stood at the front of the ship, looking at the incoming fog.

"Shira.." the white tiger strained her ears. "Shira.." She saw Diego standing on a large rock. "I wanted to come with you.."

Shira purred, entranced. Just a little closer..

"Swim with me.."

Their noses touched and she opened her eyes, expecting to see him, but no, it was a siren. She was grabbed and let out a scream as she was dragged down.

"SHIRA!" Was the last thing she heard as she went down and felt impalement from the rocks. And then everything was gone.
