Sometimes I wanna quit this all

And become an accountant now

But I'm not good at math –

"Tell me about it, Patrick." Bella mumbled as she struggled with her algebra homework. Her phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Bells! It's Jacob. What's up?"

"Math. Could you-"

"On my way."

Bella sat back, thinking how creepy it was that Jacob knew to come over. Then again, they'd been friends forever.

Five minutes later, Jacob was at the front door. Pausing her CD player, Bella went to the door and let her friend in.

"Hey, Bella!" He enveloped her in a bear hug.

"Been working out, Jake?" Bella felt his biceps.

"Yep. All muscle now!" He proudly stated. Bella shook her head, smiling. "So where's this homework, then?"

Bella lead the way to her room. Pushing the Play button, the sound of Patrick Stumph and the rest of Fall Out Boy filled the room. Bella sat at the desk, and Jacob stood behind her. He placed his arms around her shoulders and rested his head on hers.

"That," Jacob pointed to something on the paper "Should equal five, not fifteen."

Bella grabbed the eraser, and the equation was the only thing left on the paper. Patiently, Jacob re-wrote the answer, and showed the work he did. Turning to thank him, Bella's lips collided with his.

Without thinking, Jacob began to kiss back. Then his brain started to work. He stood to his full height, his lips reluctantly leaving the warmth of Bella. Oh, what smart lips he had.

Bella stood up with him, and pushed him onto her bed. Sitting beside him, she spoke.

"You're not leaving. You're not getting away from me that quickly, Jacob Black. I'm sorry for that. Wait, no. I'm not sorry for that. I meant it, and it's about bloody time!"

Jacob opened his mouth to object, but Bella's lips cut him off before he could start. He pushed her off.

"What about Ed-"

"He. Doesn't. Matter." She enunciated every word. "Me and him? We're over." The venom in Bella's voice started to scare Jacob.

"R-really? You better not be joking with me, Bella."

Her next kiss, slow, gentle and passionate, showed she was telling the truth.

"Well, screw that vampire. I won't ever leave you, Bella. Ever."

He pulled her into a tight hug, and kissed her again.
