"CeCe, I choose you." Ty said as we stood in the middle of the bakery. Next thing I know his lips were one mine.
"Ty one week you break up with me, then the next you are princess charming. I can't do this anymore. If you want to choose me then choose me, let's get married." I said as I looked at him.
"You want to get married." He said as he looked at me.
I sat on my sofa a few weeks later thinking about that night. Ty left that night with Dina. I freaked him out so bad he ran to California to stay with his father. Dina was running from her and Duce's relationship problems. No one had heard from them expect their parents. To top things off Rocky went to Italy on a study abroad program so for the next year I will only get to Sykpe her. "CeCe I need you to take this soup up to Duce." My mother said as she places a pot on the table. "His mother is worried sick about him. Apparently he is taking this whole California thing worst than you." She said as she looked at me. "And to top things off the foreign boy is living with him now." I had almost forgot that Gunter stayed behind when his family went back to the old country.
"Mom I just want to stay here. Have Flynn do it." I said.
"No, I am not letting you set here and be miserable as you watch the Prince Is Right." She said as she looked at me. Next thing I know I am standing outside of Duce's apartment.
"Duce, CeCe is here!" Gunter called when he opened the door. "Come in, maybe you can get him out of bed." I walked into the apartment.
"So, his mother is at work?" I asked him.
"Yeah." Gunter said as he walked towards the hallway. I sat there thinking about how this building was full of single parents. Was that part of the application? "Duce, she brought food get your ass out here." He said as he walked farther away.
"Bring me the food." I heard Duce say.
"No." Gunter said. Next thing I know he is carrying Duce into the room over his shoulder.
"When did you become such a bad ass?" I asked him.
"Turns out if you get rid of Tinka Gunter here can be normal." Duce said as Gunter put him on the sofa.
"You look awful." I said as I looked at him.
"Thanks a lot for that." He said as he looked up at me.
"What okay why don't you do what I did to get over Ty?" I asked.
"And that was what dye your hair more red." He said as he looked at me.
"Oh you noticed." I said.
"Back to your point CeCe." Gunter said.
"Right, I took the time and wrote him a letter. This way I found the perfect way to call him a good for nothing refuse to marry me jerk face ran off to California douche bag." I said as I looked at him.
"Your seventeen, you should have known he wouldn't want to marry you." Duce said as he got up and took the pot of soup.
"Douche bag!" I yelled at him as he went back to his room. "What are you watching?" I asked Gunter as we sat down.
"The Price is Right." He said as he looked at me. "Shouldn't you be getting home?" He asked me.
"Nah, my mother doesn't want me there." I said as I looked at the television. "Another old lady, she can't even reach the wheel." I said to the television.
"I am so sick of this show, but it is like the only thing on." Gunter said.
"This summer blows." I said. Next thing I know his lips were on mine. We pulled apart and looked back at the television knowing this was wrong. But, somehow we ended up in that position again. The longer we kissed the more right it felt. That's the kiss that started everything. At that moment everything started to change.
