THE AWAKING WARRIOR

Prologue:

The sun was shining and the tree was throwing a deep shadow on the ground. He loved to just sit and think. Only in his own thoughts did he feel alive. The peaceful quietness of the place made it ideal for him.

He was Vegeta-the sayan prince. He was staring from beyond the outer world where his soul now resided. Nothing but a ghost of his former power. He had sacrificed himself for the life of his family. He had done the only good deed in his life-and it cost him his life.

Now he could only stare in the pictures of the real world, wandering around like a ghost. Not being able to change anything. His mind was torturing him with one thought only-was it all worth it.

The silence was abruptly broken by a shriek. All of a sudden two small animals jumped out of the shrubs and ran past him. He startled for a moment Recognizing his son and Kakarot's offspring. They were running around fighting each other in a childish manner. Vegeta snarled.

"How foolish"

Sometimes he thought that this cannot be the next heir of the sayan race. That blue haired infant was nothing but a spoiled brat, having nothing worthy of the name Super-sayan. His thoughts would have continued in the same pace if he hadn't heard that voice-the voice of his wife.

He never did fully understand the relations he had with that strange being. She was a pathetic human and he was the prince of the mightiest race in the galaxy. Just then something stung him-this powerful race was nearly wiped out. He and Goku were the last two remaining true sayans. That "brat" was his only hope of preserving the memory of his great people. He suddenly felt really small and weak. He screamed but nobody could even hear him. This helplessness was maddening.

He looked again at his wife chasing the two kids. So she was a human and what of it? What she lacked in muscle she gained in brains. She was the smartest being he had ever seen. Yes he had chosen the perfect partner for his social engagement. His wife.

But could he feel "love" for that partner? His mother had once told him that he must always cherish his feelings. Something his father had taught out of him with a lot of pain(a tribute to The Dark Princess).

Again a shriek caused him to loose his thought. He looked with anger for the one responsible and suddenly froze at the sight in front of him.

What did Vegeta see? Find out in the next chapter.
