I wandered into the underground, like it was no bid deal, as if I did it every day. The weird part is, it was something that I could do every day…if I had made that choice, if I had decided to follow as well as not thoroughly tick off Him (that's the name I have given my dad-without his knowing of course). But what choice did I have? He was going to imprison one of my best friends for years and pretty much destroy the world; it's not like I had many options. Still, despite my legit reasoning, I didn't think He would be too happy about seeing me here in his underground kingdom. Oh, in case you hadn't guessed: my dad is Hades, God of the Underworld, and I am his (trespassing) son, Nico Di Angelo.

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Oh, this kid is trying to sound all tough saying that he's the son of some god, a god who we all know is just a myth and never existed. Who does this punk think he is?" Am I right? If the answer is yes, then let me catch you up to speed. All the gods/goddesses from Mount Olympus, like Hera, Zeus, Poseidon, Aphrodite, Ares, Hades, etc…yeah, they all exist and are very much alive. They are the…people, I guess you could say, although Zeus might smite you with a lightning bolt if he heard you…that affect your everyday lives. And before you ask, they do indeed live on Mount Olympus, which moves with the West; so as of right now it is located on top of North America, around the California region. So yeah, I probably do sound like a little punk most of the time when I talk, but this time I am actually just being honest with you.

I was wandering down into the Underworld not to pay a visit to my simply delightful father (yes, I am kissing major butt here, but when your dad banishes you for life you don't really get a say in the butt-kissing), but to try and find my dead sister or even just some advice…again. My sister died about a year ago on a perilous quest. On the quest with her was my former-enemy and currently friend Percy, his friend Grover, a Hunter names Zoe, and an awesome girl named Annabeth who is dating Percy (I know it's confusing and mortals like you may not be able to keep up but that's ok). Bianca died on the journey and I have been giving my best attempts at a) finding more out about our family because she and I were orphans and b) resurrecting her soul. However, she paid me a visit a while ago telling me to let go and to stop attempting to resurrect her soul and, for the most part, I had listened and stopped trying to bring her back to life. Sometimes, though, being the son of the God of The Underworld and having to endure monsters and whatnot without her just got to be too much and I tried to bring her back to life against her wishes. Today, though, I knew that was not going to happen so I really just wanted some advice and some information on our family if I could get it.

First, though, there was the matter of getting across the river Stix without getting found out by my father or one of his evil spies that the Underworld is just crawling with. I hated being down here because, though some people are surprised by this with me being the son of Hades and all, I hate the smell of death and the gloom of depression that seems to be in the very air in the Underworld. I mean, the whole place is just dank and dark and thoroughly upsetting to the highest degree. I didn't come down here too often, and not just because I was banished, but I knew that Bianca was down here so I was just going to have to take it like the 12 year old I was and learn to deal. That was something I had learned a lot about in the last year or so.
