Rating: K+

A/N : Drabble, are you surprised? Not any spoilers that I can think of. Quiet, unassuming and hardly ground-breaking.

Imaginative title, I know ;) Spellchecked, but unbeta'd, therefore, I proudly declare that all mistakes and moments of poor quality are mine. If someone would like to beta it, or has any improvement ideas, drop me a line.

These characters aren't mine, no profits earned from this, etc.

There are a few things she misses, things she's not quite ready she's sure she can let go of forever. Surprisingly, some of them she never really took up and so is startled that she really does long for them

She misses getting drunk, being slutty, bikinis, bad rock music and naughty conversations with girlfriends.
Granted, she has done these things before and she enjoyed them enough but she had never really considered them to be things she really needed or even wanted.

Now, it's all she can think about.

She misses having much less responsibility. She dreams of being equal. Approachable.

God, she wants to have sex.

She misses privacy. She misses travel.

Then there are the things that were so much a part of her that they cause an ache that is so strong she swears it's just as physical as it is mental.

She misses her dog.

She misses her mother.

She misses her friends although, to be honest, most of them were Simon's and those that weren't she hadn't talked to in so long.

Elizabeth knows that (whether they meant to or not), they ended up with a certain personality group for the expedition. People that could or had already let go. People that were sick of Earth. She looks around.
Sheppard, McKay, Ford, Zelenka. Their lives are here now and they would say that these new Atlantean lives are better than anything they could have made by themselves back on Earth.

She had put herself in that group. And now, she's not so sure that she was really ready to give up on all that. But if she goes back, she knows she'll never get back here.

Probably for the best anyway.
