Short Back-Story & starter:

Most Samurai either have no past to share or one so horrible they just simply can't. All that was known of Kyuzo's past was that he served in the Great War on the side considered to be evil, and somehow ended up fighting against those he use to protect. His name was now known by many as Kyuzo, one of the seven samurai that protected an innocent village against ruthless bandits(Nobuseri). Other than his reputation for being cold and cruel little else was known about the former assassin. After defeating the evil Nobuseri, it is said that Kyuzo vanished. Many thought he had either died on the battle field, or perished under the blade of Kambei; another great samurai. But the truth was he left the now saved village in search of his next training "exercise". Kyuzo was determined to one day defeat his rival Kambei-sama but to do so he had to keep training, and hone his skills in dual wielding before facing the great samurai again.

Present Day:

The day had been long and hot, but finally the sun was starting to set which meant cool shaded relief from the heat was only an hour or so away. This was well known to the overheated samurai, however after working hard all day under the unforgiving sun Kyuzo had to with draw. Leaning his back against a large tree, he braced his tired body there as he slowly unbuttoned the buttons on his cloak. Dropping the red fabric into the dry grass, the browning blades cracked and broke under its weight. Then with a sharp clank the samurai carelessly dropped his dual bladed weapon on top of the cloak further pressing it into the grass. With a grunt Kyuzo slide down the trees trunk and sat with his arms propped up on his knees as he panted heavily. He had accomplished a lot today, this was apparent because the forest around him had been leveled into a open valley. Nothing but short stumps and broken timber scattered the once dense forest. Kyuzo had managed to clear out at least a mile of trees in all of the directions surrounding him, leaving only one standing in the center; the one he currently was taking shelter from the sun under.

Kyuzo growled and squinted as he was forced to turn his head, the sun was slowly setting but was now at an awkward angle that allowed its rays to shine right into the Samurai's eyes. "No matter how hard or long I practice YOU always have the last laugh don't you.." He said in a harsh tone as he shielded his eyes from the sun with his forearm. Taking a deep breath the blond haired man lowered his arm, keeping his eyes closed he tried to distract himself from the bright light in his eyes and instead focus on the gentle breeze that was starting to cool the quiet environment. He no longer paid any attention to the hot sun on his face, all his mind was aware of now was the air around him helping him recover from his rigorous training.
