A poem about two characters' feelings for each other.
Hey everyone! This is a poem I wrote one night when I couldn't go to sleep (that's what I do when I have trouble sleeping). Hope you enjoy it! Please R&R!
Hidden Feelings
A tortured soul,
A positive outlook.
She was alone.
That was all it took
For them to accept her.
And for them to care.
One needed her more,
So much he couldn't bear
Seeing them together
Wrenched at his heart.
He honestly loved her
And didn't want to part
From her side at all.
He wanted those feelings returned
By her and her alone
And now it was her turn.
She loved him also.
But was afraid of what he'd say
About her feelings, so
She kept them locked away.
So now they live on,
Their feelings kept inside.
One day he'll be gone
And shut up inside
Like his hidden feelings.
But what could he do now?
He truly feared these feelings
And wished that he could bow
Down and surrender
To what he felt inside.
They truly loved the other,
But feared the other side.
Would she return his feelings?
He couldn't fathom that.
The wheels in his head were reeling,
Because who could ever love the cat?
