DOOM security breach
James Clarke was sitting at his desk in the UAC's base on Mars. The 29-year-old security guard was working his shift at the security gate at the base's entrance and, as usual, nothing interesting or abnormal had happened. For James, this was just a typical day at the office. Bored, he looked out the porthole window to his right. Outside, crimson mountains and massive rocks covered the desolate martian landscape. "This is definately not what I signed up for." James thought. "This job is a real bore." Suddenly, an alarm went off. "WEEOOOOWEEOOOO" went the alarm. "INTRUDER ALERT! BREACH DETECTED!" Said the base commander over the PA.
"I guess that was my fault..." James grumbled. All of a sudden, the lights went out. "What the hell?" James thought. James cautiously readied his handgun. He loaded in a clip and flicked the safety off. "Safety's off. I'd better proceed with caution." James whispered. Suddenly, there was a flash of red light and some sort of demon thing appeared. James screamed. Soon, the demon was bashing on the glass window of the security booth, trying to get in. "Oh no, you don't." James said. He reached around for his flashlight. He found it on his desk, turned it on, and hit a button on the wall. The button activated the security sentry-gun, which turned on with a beep.
The gun revved up and shot at the demon, killing it in a burst of fire. James gasped in relief. He cautiously exited the security booth, walking at a slow pace. He found two more demons and shot at them with his handgun. Then, James looked on the ground and found a shotgun. He picked it up. "4 shells in this one." He whispered. James holstered the handgun and pumped the shotgun. He charged through the automatic door into the main room in the base and shot at more demons in the room. Then, his phone rang. "Hello?" James said. "Hey, if you can hear this, get to the labs as fast as you can. This is a marine speaking. We're evacuating the base." Said the marine. "Thanks, I'll be right over." James said. He hung up his phone and ran towards the door to the labs. Just then, a huge cyborg demon with miniguns for arms and a shoulder mounted missile launcher charged blasted open the wall to James' left. The Cyberdemon roared and shot at James with its miniguns. James screamed in terror and did a backflip into an office to his right. He looked around and found a safe. Because he was a security guard, he knew the combination of all the safes in the UAC base. He entered the combination into the safe's keypad. Sure enough, the safe unlocked. James opened it. Inside was the biggest gun he had ever seen.
It was the all-powerful BFG-9000. People in the base called it the Doombringer. "Now that's a big freaking gun!" James said. He picked it up. It was really heavy. James blasted the Cyberdemon with the BFG and killed it. The Cyberdemon roared and exploded. "Not so tough now, are you, you ugly brute!" James sneered. He ran towards the labs. "There you are!" Said a marine. So James got into a space suit and boarded a ship along with all the other people in the base, and they all went back to Earth. So, from that day forward, no one ever went back to Mars, because there were evil demons there. Of course it was only a matter of time before the demons came to earth... THE END...FOR NOW
