Final Distance One Shot. AC ending
Again a little more is lost. Of course, a little more is lost. Every time I look around a little more is lost. Aerith, Midgar, and now he's back. Sephiroth. I know that I was once a puppet, a clone. But as I watch him come down from the sky I'm wondering, if he's right. I'm doubting myself and everything I love. He lunges at me and his sword pierces my shoulder, he asks to name what I cherish most. He wants to take that away.
The other becomes visible, average and restrained. My hurt becomes visible, average and restrained, as I pull the sword from my shoulder. "You just don't get it!" I shout, Denzel, Tifa, Marlene, and AVALANCHE, "You never will!" Our swords clash. "There's nothing I don't cherish." A cold laugh erupts from his throat. He wants to know where my power is coming from. "Like I'd tell you," I said charging at him again.
The cruel sensation swims through you. The hatred swims through my blood. I'm feeding off of it. Another blow. He remains in midair. He's stalled. I take my chances. With my final shot. His eye's widened at the horror that all five swords were coming at him.
Feelings become dangerous. I land on the ground and catch my sword. "Stay in my memories," I paused, "Where you belong." Sephiroth smiled, "I will never be a memory." His wing incases him and Kadaj fall back to the earth. As I readied my self for another battle, Kadaj tries to get up and falls back over. I run over and catch him.
The next thing I know he's going back to the Lifestream. He fades away in my arms. I stand up and sigh. I feel a pain from back and I feel myself falling backwards. I'm flying in air. "Mother?" I ask as someone touches my shoulder. "Mother? Again? How many times is that now?" she asks. "But isn't it great to be yearned for?" he chuckles. "I think this one is a little too big to adopt," she states calmly. "Sorry friend, I guess you're not needed here," he says with a laugh. Zach, Aerith?
I wake in Aerith's church. Kids in the water around me and all my friends in the back, even Vincent. A girl with a moogle looks at me and says, "It's just like she said. Wait here and Cloud will come back." I smile. "Welcome home," Tifa says from the crowd. She's on the verge of crying, I can tell. "I guess I'm back," I say to Tifa.
Nanaki looks at me and says, "Cloud, we still have children with the stigma." "Yeah, I know," I say, "Denzel." Denzel stands in front of me. I cup the water in my hand and then dump it over Denzel. Denzel places a hand to his head and smiles, "it's gone!" More children jump in around me and I look back at every body and smile. Yuffie is encouraging people to jump in the water with Cid. Vincent's glare softens and I get a nod from him. Tifa smiles at me as I look to the back of the Church.
Aerith and Zach are standing back there. "You'll be ok now," she tells me. I nod as she turns around. She begins to walk away with Zach and he waves as his goodbye. I smile and say, "I'm not alone." Not alone in the Final Distance.
A/N: I felt like writing something before I post my next chapter of So Contagious. Which is done by the way I'm just too lazy to upload it. Ok so this is my first one shot in first person so don't be too hard on me. Leave comments
