AN: I'm editing this entire story and will be continuing on with it. i Know its bee a long time and i'm very sorry for the wait.
"Good afternoon students, as you know tomorrow is the big day. A select few of you were chosen to spend a year at the elite Leaf Performing Academy." The principle said over the speaker," So in preparation we will be having the rest of the day off. Wait for your teacher to excuse you, that is all."
Cheering had began as soon as the principle had mentioned having the rest of the day of. Many students sped right out of the class room door not even letting the teacher speak let alone dismiss them.A slighltly amused smile graced my face knowing how much trouble they would get in tommrrow. They would all probably have detion for a week, and thats if was in a good mood. I picked up my tattered backpack from where it had been reasting on the floor and stuffed in all of my crap, the hefted it up on to my shoulder. Getting up from my tiny desk and chair I pushed my chair in and strolled slowly to the classroom door having np reason to I reached for the silver door handle I heard someone call my name.
"Sakura," My teacher Mr. Nick called out.
"Yes?" I responded, twirling around to smile at him, as he was my favorite teacher. While not being very nice to trouble makers, he was very kind to me and other students who behaved. He was the one who convicned me that this trip could be a could be a good experince for me to have.
"Good luck on your trip. I except to be hearing about how well you did there and the many friends that i'm sure you'll have." He told me with a gentle smile.
He was referring to me going to Leaf Performing Academy. I was going there because I was one of the best dancers that our school had. All the students who were going had be chosen because they where very good at what they did. We had not only dancers going, but singers, musicians, artists, and many others as well.
"Yes sir, i'll make you and the other teachers proud, and I'll try to make friends" I told him knowing that the possibility of it happening was very low. Not a lot of people seemed to like me once they realized how blunt and honest I was. They all seemed to to think i was a bitch, which I wasn't, but I suppose i could come across that way. Who knows, maybe the students in Japan where different, but it felt like a long shot that they would be.
Not giving him a chance to say anything more, I faced the door, opened it quickly and exited shutting it softly behind me. I didn't bother stopping at my locker, seeing as it had been cleaned out the day before. I made my way towards the entrance of the school. Once I got there I saw that it was raining eggs and toast outside. Not exactly a surprise considering that it rained here quite often, but still it wasn't something I enjoyed seeing as it takes me at least a half an hour to reach my house. I would be freezing by the time i got there. I knew that calling my mom would not work, she probably wouldn't even notice her phone ringing, let alone answer it.
"This is going to be a long walk home" I thought to myself sighing. Putting in my blue earphones, and flipping up my hood, I blasted the song 'That ain't classy' and prepared myself for a long, cold walk home.
Quickly opening my front door I stepped inside and took off my now sopping wet jacket. I throw down my, equally as wet, backpack and kicked of my shoes. Quickly taking note of how wet my hip length pink hair was, even though i had put it under my hood , I crossed the hall and pulled out a big brown towel to dry off with.
"Anybody home?," I called out, wiping my hair to get some part of me at least somewhat dry. I would have to change out of my clothes as soon as possible. They were sticking rather uncomfortably to my skin.
"I'm in the kitchen Hun." I heard my mom reply to me.
Taking the towel and putting it around my neck I walked to the kitchen slowly leaving drips of water in my wake. When I got there I saw my mom sipping on tea reading a magazine, glancing up she caught sight of my rather bad appearance, and raised a red eyebrow at me but wisely said nothing of it.
"Are you ready for tomorrow? You've already packed right? You can't leave it until tomorrow, you have to leave the house by 6, you know that right?" My mom questioned me. I hated it when she did that. She didn't say hello. she just went straight to nagging.
Rolling my eyes I replied, "Yes I'm packed, and yes I know that I have to leave by 6. I was the one who told you that, remember."
Mom narrowed her eyes a me but didn't say anything about my cheekiness."Okay, I was just making sure. You're my baby after all and you're leaving for a year. I just want you to be prepared" She explained, frowning when she said i would be gone for a year.
Knowing that if i didn't leave soon she would try and convince me to stay."Yeah, yeah, I've heard this all a million times," I told my mom grinning slightly," i'm going to go to bed early, i'm really tired, I'll see you tomorrow."
"Okay, have a good sleep Hun" Mom said to me not looking back up from her magazine.
"I will," I promised her, making my way up our stairs to my bedroom.
Once I got there, I changed out of my clothes and got on black swat pants with dance in big white letters on the butt and a red tank . I grabbed my pink hair brush and combed it though, struggling when i got to the tangled parts. Once I was happy with its condition, I put down my brush and crossed the room to look at myself in my mirror. Looking back at me was a teenage girl with emerald green eyes, finely arched pink eyebrows, red pouty lips, clear porcelain skin a button nose, long eyelashes and long pink hair. Looking at my self for a while and seeing nothing , I gave up on trying to find what I was looking for and pushed my self back from my mirror. I went towards my twin bed and flopped down on the purple covers and fell asleep. Dreaming of what might come tomorrow.
