My name is James. I am the leader of what is called the Auxiliary Animorphs. We are the newest members of the Animorphs. A few months ago, Jake, the leader of the Animorphs came to us and offered us the power. They were desperate and they needed help.

I guess you could say Jake and the others picked us because we were the weak ones. We were the ones society turned it's eyes on. Most of us, except one, lived in a children's hospital that took care of us. We all had physical disabilities that didn't allow us to live in the normal world. Jake and the others realized that the Yeerks would never want to infest us. That we would just be killed off if the Yeerks one. I guess they were right.

I want to prove them wrong. I want to prove them wrong so bad. We are more then just children sitting there, waiting for someone to help us. We are people, real live people. We have dreams, wishes. Most of us have families.

I don't blame Jake and the others for choosing us. They saw in us a team that could still live under secrecy. That could still function without the enemy knowing who we are. I guess I am glad they picked us.

The others had fought their war for three years all by their selves. It was time for them to get help. I don't feel that they threw the burden on us. If anything, the burden was thrown on them. I am honored that I got the opportunity to help, no matter how desperate they were. I didn't have anything to live for.

I guess I just want to get this all out there so, if in the end, we do win, the world realizes that 18 amazing, powerful, so called helpless children helped five extraordinary healthy kids and one lost alien save the world. The twenty-four of us were the worlds only army at the end.

Jake and the others have a plan. I admit that I was there when they made it. I even helped plan it out. The chances are slim for us. I know the risks, and I explained it to the others. We are the distraction, the diversion. I know Jake isn't using us. I know he and the others will do everything they can to save us. I also know that that might not happen, and I am not angry. I am sad that it will end, that our fight will end, but I am proud of what we have done.

We are more then just weak, crippled, helpless kids. We were all people. I want to tell you about each and every one of our team. They all had a personality. We all had personalities.

Now it is time for Collette, Timmy, Kelly, Julio, Craig, Erica, Tricia, Ray, Elena, Judy, Rich, Jordan, Taylor, Jose, Kara, Tamara, Sam, and James to show the World that we are heroes.
