It was dark and sinister.
When I up in this forest. All I felt was the bite of winter on my skin. The first thing I saw was the snowflakes on my lashes.
The reason I awoke was the pounding of horseshoes on the snow.
I called out though my voice had long ago decided to no longer cooperate in the chilling cold.
"What was that?" A voice said in the distance.

It seemed ny voice had not totally given up on me.
"H-h-e-elp..." I called out.
"Ginra, stay here. I will go check what created the noise." A decidedly masculine voice said.
"No. No, Twyran. I would rather stay with you and see for myself. Anyway I am no glass doll that needs to be looked after and kept hidden. It is me that should be keeping you safe." The first voice - a much more feminine voice - said albeit a little smugly on the last bit.

"What ever you say, my One" The second voice - Twyran - said chuckling.

I heard them getting of there horses -at least I assumed they were horses - and walking towards me.

I heard nothing except the crunch of feet on snow in the moments that led up to them spotting me.

"Oh Durin! Twyran it is a child."

At this point I heard foot steps running towards me and something metal and heavy landing next to me.
I looked up to see a bearded, feminine face looking down at me. A couple of steps behind the bearded woman.
"Ginra. Grab the blankets quickly. We need to get her to Ered Luin."

The woman ran off quickly. The man came and held my head up. He asked if I could hear him and if I could squeeze his hand to say yes. Of course I squeezed his hand.
I then heard the woman returning.
I was soon engulfed by the feeling of security.

Looking up I noticed that my vision was growing dark on the edge. My sight began to focus on the falling snow. Until it became dark.

This time the dark was warm and safe. I don't know why...but this type of dark...was nice. I hope when I wake up I will still have this feeling.
