Atala's knots and thoughts
A/N: I do not own any of these amazing book, I do how ever own my idea for this really short fic.
It was nice to finally have a reason for showing up to the training center, very few people make there way over to the knot tying station. It is probably one of the more random ones, and in a life or death situation probably not the most useful. But maybe in the long run. In my opinion if you can outlast the first day you might want to set a trap or two, but no one thinks of these as there using weapons they have never used before or just showing off what they can do. Very few realize how useful these can be and of course even if they do most are nervous to make there way over here. They all think they must learn to use a sword, which is pointless if you can't live for more than a few days.
But the two that came up to me during the 74th hunger games seemed smart, they knew what was coming and they were definitely not going down without a fight. The one girl seemed to know a bit about traps and knot tying, so I showed her some simple knots and they caught on to some basic concepts very fast.
For some odd reason I kind of wanted these two to win. Not just one of them but both of them. They seemed so cute together and to get along nicely. it is kind of sad, and if I had to bet, I would bet for some odd reason they will both make it out of there alive. I really want to believe that, because I never believed in the games in the first place, there enough to break friends up. There also enough to keep people separated.
So I do hope these to strong, and determined, people can make it out. Unlike the ones who make un-lasting alliances. Those who waste there time now, trying to attempt to learn a weapon.

I was standing at the table, it was the 73 hunger games and absolutely nobody was going to be coming to this station. I was tying random knots and I think that with enough work I could make an animal, maybe a cute and fluffy dog. As my hands did all the work I couldn't help but remember this one young lad, Finnink, he made the most wonderful knots I had ever seen.
I sighed as the dog I was making looked like a seal, I threw the knot down from annoyance and boredom. There I go trying to make a cute puppy out of this string and I get a retarded seal. My thoughts drift back to finnink, again if anyone I would have bet on him to win. I do have a knack for picking the winner. Maybe I should bet this year.
And oh god, finninks knots where to die for. They where so amazing and I really wish that I was just as good as him. Though I am good I am definitely not that good.

A/N: so, I thought this completely random character deserved at least one fiction. She did teach Katniss that one random trap that I don't think she ever even used. But yeah enjoy. Happy New Year .
