"And who has time for tears…?"

Breathing hard, she was kneeling in a gutter behind what seemed like an old dodgy building. She had ran so hard, so fast that only now her surroundings were catching up with her.

What the hell was that thing! I could've died right there and then if I hadn't of ran. God dammit. So many things need explaining.

Her mind was playing a confusing loop of questions. But the more she thought, the more things didn't make sense. And it all brought her back to the same spot where she started. Where the hell am I?

The Mesh dividing her from the building rattled slightly in the breeze. She lace her fingers around the wire and tried to compose herself. She wiped her eyes and started to climb the mesh trying not to make a sound. Brushing herself off she looked back through the other side of the mesh. A vast stretch of fog slumbered lazily over the eerily quiet town. It was then a rattled wind blew through the street and the smell knocked her back against a trashcan. She covered her face in disgust. It smelt a sickly, charred flesh smell.

And yet she ventured further towards the dodgy building. It was obviously an old building done up to look new quite some time ago. It might've looked flash in it's prime, but now the plaster was chipped away and the top layer was splattered with a rusty colour which she didn't even try to imagine what it was.

Her muscles burned and her lungs ached from the previous strain but still, this pulling force the building gave off. It lured her closer towards an industrial-looking door, blocked by a wheelchair turned on its side. It lay there like a carcass. She placed her delicate fingers precariously on the doorknob which hung loosely from the lock and screeched when she turned it.

As her heart beat violently against her ribcage, she slipped into the darkness behind the door.
