You have been a member of the Straw Hat crew for some time now, after being rescued from Buggy the Clown. Since you have joined, the pirate crew had gained three more members, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji. You had always had a closed-off personality and hardly showed your feelings. Heck, most of the crew didn't think you had feelings! Only one knew… Roronoa Zoro.

You had an irrational fear of clowns ever since you were small. When you were five, you thought you were brave, and you entered a haunted house at the Fall Festival in your village. You were fine…until you entered the house of mirrors. You looked for the exit, as you didn't like looking in mirrors (for some weird reasons that you came up with), and all of a sudden, a zombie clown's reflection appeared in the mirror over your shoulder. You couldn't find where the reflection came from, and started to scream. Your older brother ran in, picked you up, and took you to the exit.

One night on the Going Merry, Zoro slept in the spare bed in your room. Earlier that day, Luffy set off a stink bomb in his and Zoro's room, and Zoro refused to sleep there until the room smelled normal again. "G'night (y/n)..." Zoro muttered, rolling over and facing the wall.

"Night." you murmured, half asleep already. Two hours after you fell asleep, it began. The nightmare. You were wearing an acrobat's uniform, and standing inside of a circus tent. "Oh no…" you stammered, because wherever there was a circus tent, there were bound to be… "Clowns." The moment you uttered the dreaded word, hundreds upon hundreds of zombie clowns filled the tent. You tried fighting them off with a baseball bat that had appeared out of nowhere, but to no avail. You were tossing and turning, a cold sweat breaking out on your forehead. You muttered "Stay away… Don't come any closer…", causing Zoro to wake up. He was incredibly groggy, but awake nonetheless.

"(y/n)... wha's the matter?" he mumbled, turning towards you. He saw you tossing and turning violently, the cold sweat rolling off your forehead, tears streaming down your face. "(Y/N)! Wake up, it's only a nightmare!" he shook you gently, concern creeping into the swordsman's voice. You flipped over, still dreaming, and accidentally whacked Zoro right in the mouth. Hard. Your (e/c) eyes snapped open, realizing you struck someone. You looked at Zoro, who was checking if he lost any teeth, and started crying.

"Zoro… I'm… so sorry. I didn't mean… to hit you… Will you... forgive me?" you asked through the hiccuping sobs. Zoro ran his fingers through your (h/l) (h/c) hair, which you found to be comforting.

"Yeah… could you kiss it to make it better?" Zoro replied, asking the question out of the blue.

"What?" you asked, shocked. He stared into your eyes, causing a chill to race down your spine.

"You heard me, right?" he asked, pulling you close to his warm shoulder.

"Yes. I will." you smiled. You placed your lips onto his gently. He started kissing you back.

"As long as you're with me, you won't have any more nightmares."
