It is night time again.

I'm sitting by my window and I'm watching the sky.

The storybooks tell me when it is night time; everything is dark. This is not true. I can see my hands. I can see my naked legs that are curled up against my chest as I sit on my bed; by the window. They also say the sky turns black. I'm looking carefully. My eyes squint. I frown. No. This is not so. The sky is not black at all. It is dark, yes. It is a dark blue, a dark purple... but it is not black. You cannot simply say it is black. The storybooks lie.

In the storybooks; it is either black or it is white. Helga says storybooks do not make room for the shades of grey. They tell me I am a shade of grey. I do not know what this means.

I sit here. It is night time. I will look and watch the sky. Perhaps if I look for long enough; the sky will turn black. Maybe it is too early yet and later the sky will be black.

So I will wait here.

They say once you have waited a century, you can wait an eternity and not feel a thing.

So I will wait here.
