AN: I write these as Headcannons on a Facebook page I admin. (What if Harry Potter was an Anime?) Just remember that the Harry Potter world is not mine but I do love and wish I could visit the world.
Calm Flight
On a cold night, Draco was walking outside to the Quidditch Pitch to get some time away from everything. What everyone expects from him or perceives of his true nature was getting too much to handle. He needed time to just clear his mind of the chaos.
When he arrived at the Pitch, he never expected to see Hermione Granger crying. He was surprised to see her alone outside. Hesitantly he walked over in a small decision to see what was wrong. "Granger?"
Hermione heard her name through her sniffles and looked up to see a bleary blonde figure. She wiped her tears but doesn't snap at him. "Yes, Malfoy?" She recognized the voice before she saw him clearly.
Draco was a bit intrigued and worried by her defeated voice and frown. "Want to fly with me?" He knew better than most when talking won't help but flying always helped clear his mind. He hoped it helped her too.
Hermione was surprised and looked at him carefully. After a few seconds she nodded and took his hand.
Draco pulled her close and helped her onto the broom before flying off. He thought of his own chaos while making sure Hermione could forget her own.
Holding onto Draco and listening to the wind and his heart, Hermione slowly relaxed. Nothing has ever calmed her besides books but this could become her next favorite activity. "Thanks, Draco. "
Hearing the thanks and use of his name gave him a warm feeling and dissipated any worry or chaos left in his mind.
They flew for an hour before finally landing. He kissed her cheek with a small smile. "If ever you want another ride and want to get away, tell me Hermione."
She smiled and blushed. Nodding, she kissed his cheek. "I will."
As they separate for the night, they never forgot. This would be what brought them closer and gave them true happiness in the end.
