Gilbert laid silently, staring up at the normally cyan sky, now dark with smoke and ash, the sky stained in streaks from the bloodshed and brutality going on around them. His eyes were slowly becoming glassier and he began to look a little more distant, blood pouring from his chest and bandages wrapped around him in a vain attempt to cease the flow no longer able to contain such an volume of it. The cries of battle raged on around the two as their fingers interlocked for what seemed to be the last time as the albino calmly whispered how he hoped the two would meet again one day, and he would wait for Roderich, no matter how long it took.

The aristocratic man who had slender fingers designed for playing a piano, hardly for handling guns sat weeping beside his long time companion, protesting about the unfairness of this world through his sobs. Gilbert only reached up a shaky finger to silence the man, promising that everything would be ok before his smile grew slowly more pained and the light began to fade from his eyes, the hand dropping back to his side. The aristocrat leant down and kissed his lover one last time, tears dripping from his face before he sat back, wondering where they would next meet. Perhaps on a calm hill in a beautiful country somewhere far away, talking the day away with idle topics and laughing together over silly daisy chain crowns they would exchange, or perhaps in the harsh of winter, they would sit together beside a frozen lake contemplating all they had been through together before, each explaining their love for one another. He hoped that the next time they met would be under kinder circumstances and he cursed this world for being so cruel, glancing over the body of Gilbert lovingly once more before slowly dropping his hand, hoisting the gun over his shoulder and standing up with shaking legs, promising himself that no matter what would happen in these coming dark hours, they would meet again.

Sorry this one is so short, I just had a tiny bit of inspiration and decided to go with it :)
