The heart, lost in darkness is a heavy burden much like, iron bars that imprisons the devil in isolation. Gravity takes ahold and everything falls into travesty, it's as if, the sun had fallen out of the sky and has become lost, all that remains is a dark night.

There is no longer a point to believe that he could ever see the sunlight, a fiery rage of despair has taken its place and it gives way to a baleful voice of hopelessness and it said to him.

"Your weak, you can feel it, that soulless shell."

Startled by the echoing voice that had faded into the subconsciousness, as a brilliant light makes way for the full moon that meets his waking eyes. Realizing he was in a holding cell, so familiar; it was much like, where he had locked away his despair.

Unable too remember, how he had ended up there and it made him ill, much like the night his beloved parents were murdered before his eyes and it, took all the colour out of his soul.

He was trapped and the cage was his body, unable to move and his mind gives way to his reoccurring nightmares, to which there is no shelter from such tragedies, so may had he witnessed.

A sinking feeling pulls at his heart as he feels water beginning too surround him like a wild fire. This rising water, so malodorous of metal and it felt like, acid eating away at his flesh, like it was flames fit for the devil and his fallen angels, there was no escaping a battle that could never be won, the taste of madness.

Anyone else would feel fright but Bruce was far too calm; there was only relief as the waters washed over him. He abandons, what little hope he held on too and he watches the moonlight fade away in the blur of a vision that strikes him in the chest like, a painful reality.

An odious shiver runs down Bruce's spine, crippling him with agony, as death comes into view. Matches Malone; the monster that emerged from the shadows and killed his beloved parents.

This twisted old man, tired of his mission and his dark path, had come to meet the young man at his rope's end. Bruce had become motionless like, deep snow and his eyes were like, a crime frozen in winter that he wishes to forget but he still remembers like, it was yesterday and he will never forget the hurt, the loss given to him and never could he say good-bye.

When this monster ripped out his bleeding heart and tossed it into a raging flame that left him with such shame like, a battle that could never be won, a pointless war. Because he could not stop a tragedy and he blames himself for causing their murder.

If it were not for him, wanting to escape to the movies, then madness would not have gripped him with such sorrow, which led too even more death. His hands trembled at the sight of the pool of blood and he raises his blood stained hands to his face.

He prepares to fight off death but his frozen like, a deer caught in the headlights and it's much like, their first encounter. Matches Malone approaches and all Bruce sees is a chilling stare of a cold-hearted killer.

Bruce feels, so much disappointment; so much fury within himself yet there was a strange calmness much like, a lullaby his mother use to sing to him and she told him with all her heart that the sun will come again and he and the sun will rise together.

Bruce's eyes welled up with tears; it was like, looking into a mirror and seeing all his flaws that was buried away and would be the death of him. This is where the war was waged for his soul, where a monster was born and this is where the dark path ends.

Matches Malone pulls a gun from his pocket and points it to his head and Bruce copies him and everything falls into shadow. He awakes in a fierce sweat that soaked him to the bone and he begins to panic, a tinge of pain hits him then it spreads and it worsens with every breath and his situation comes into focus.

The breathing tube, IV lines, just so many tubes running out of him and were like, tree branches. Tears streamed down his face and drowns him in a sea of emotions, all he knew was a heavy feeling of ruin, he felt like he had done something so terribly wrong, it was unforgivable.

He could not remember, what he had done and so he was filled with fear that he was the dark to the madness. Never did he feel such a consuming sense of overwhelming heartache, his heart monitor sounds off.

His eyes rolled back into his head and everything collapses into a fever dream of broken pieces much like his heart. The nightmare begins in total darkness as his parent the only light, surrounds him with laughter and love.

He takes this time to enjoy being with them one last time but Bruce knows, what is about to happen and he wishes that he didn't. Yet he could not let it go and he could not give up on why it happened. Why he lost his smile and his happiest moment burnt away into a nightmare.
