Sakura POV
"I guess you noticed huh ?" I asked quietly, he looked at me for a mere moment with his beautiful obsidian eyes, nodded once before looking out the window once more. I let out a sigh, and stepped closer to him, one hand lay on his chest while the other was placed on his cheek.
"Nothing escapes you.. " I said with a small smile, he looked at me, obsidian and emerald clashing.
Itachi POV
I felt her body shift closer to mine,
" . . . . escapes you.. " I looked at her, a pang in my chest. My eyes speaking unsaid words.
'Except you. . . ' Those words echoed through my mind as I closed my eyes and willed the pain away. I opened my eyes and saw her looking at me intensely.
"Our time is almost up," I could see her shiver at the sound of my voice, my eyes trailing from the window to her eyes, then her lips. She looked down and placed her head on my chest, my arms snaked around her, in hope of having at least one beautiful moment with her. I pulled away slowly, and let my fingers slid under her chin and pull her face close to mine. In that moment, time seemed to stop, our breaths mingled, the smell of her cherry blossom like scent, and my own cinnamon smell clashing. I leaned forward, and placed my lips on hers, and we stay there for no more than a second, but that second told us everything that we could never stay. And as we pulled away, from that moment on, we would walk different paths, and fight for our clan, hoping to never meet on the battlefield.
