SWEETS
"Do you like chocolates?"
She was startled for a moment before answering back, not even bothering to look at the one who asked her the strange question.
"No."
"I see..."
The silence deepened but she knew the person was still there.
"Do you like candies?"
The person asked again. She wanted to ignore the nuisance but for some reason, she just answers back.
"No."
"I see..."
She wanted to glower at the person who dared bother her privacy.
"Do you like cakes?"
The question again. She muses at the question and decided to face her 'intruder'.
She slowly spun around and looked intently at the girl standing right in front of her. The girl wore a small smile on her lips; her crimson eyes looked watery against the moonlight.
If she's to be asked, the girl could be mistaken to be of the same age as hers. The girl's golden-brown hair flowed aimlessly with the quiet wind.
"Well?" The girl pushed, not slightly distracted from her icy glare. She looked at the girl again, but this time, she tried to let their eyes meet.
She noticed that the girl also looked straight at her, which unexplainably made her blush. It was the first time she saw her reflection through someone else's eyes.
"You have the deepest jade eyes, you know?" The girl continued, now with a wider smile on her face. She doesn't flinch, but she knew her blush grew thicker. She wanted to smile but held herself up. No matter who this person was or how you may put it, she should be annoyed.
"No."
Startled at her reaction, the other girl gave her a questioned look.
"No. I don't like cakes." She continued. This conversation has to end now.
"I...See..." the girl replied.
She decided to leave the place because she felt another question coming and much as she wants to answer them for this scrupulous girl, she just felt this wasn't right at all.
She tried to walk pass the girl but insistency may have sided with the other and after a few steps, she felt firm hands cover her own.
"Do you like anything sweet?"
She can't believe this! But somehow, she can't move. She relaxed with the grip and started to back away so as to look again at the other girl.
"No."
Without a word, the girl pulled her in for something she never imagined getting after all that gibberish.
Before she can process anything else, other than logically explaining what's happening right now, she can only be sure of one thing:
This was certainly a kiss.
The kiss was light; soft lips against hers. It was innocent and inexperienced as well, but nonetheless she stopped dead on her tracks and allowed the other to further deepen the kiss. They were young, yes. But she, admittedly, needed that.
After what seemed to be eternity, they both parted. The smile never left the girl's face and honestly she wanted to do it again.
"Do you like sweets now?" The girl asked.
She absent-mindedly caressed her lips and just realized that the girl tasted incredibly sweet. She looked at the girl; they're still just inches away from each other.
"I like sweets." The girl continued, and then slowly closed the small distance they had and hugged her. She can only stand still.
"I like you more, though..." was what she heard next. She closed her eyes and realized she was now hugging the girl back.
"You should try some of the sweets later..." the girl said as she felt the girl's finger trace circles round her back. She sighed; completely enchanted by the crimson-eyed girl she was hugging and replied with a smile.
"Ofcourse."
