'My dear butterfly...'

Deep sea blue eyes flickered open, blinking an adjusting her eyes from the rays of the sunlight.

Wait. Sun?

But it's night time!

"JUVIA!"

Juvia's eyes widened. She saw a big black hole swirling, dragons were being sucked one by one, then suddenly, the water mage's body glowed in the night. She stared in awe at her arms and hands, not knowing that she's being sucked by the hole like the dragons.

Gray, however, started running towards her with a horrid look.

"JUVIA!" Gray shouted again, his hand outstrectehd at her. He felt his eyes stinging, his throat aching. He grabbed her hand while his other grabbed the nearest thing that he could grab.

"H-hold on!" he gasped, tightening his grip around her wrist, "just a little longer!"

Suddenly a big stone hit Juvia's lower body, making the water mage cried in agony. As the both of them cling into their lives, Juvia's hand was slowly slipping out of Gray's grip.

"G-gray-sama! I c-ca-n't!"

Gray looked at her with a horrid look, tears streaming down on his cheeks. This wasn't supposed to happen. They were winning against the dragons, he thought that after this their lives would be back again to normal. He thought that maybe after this fight he's going to tell her how he feel and start over with her again.

"DON'T LET GO, DAMMIT! WE'RE STILL FIGHTING THOSE DRAGONS! WE HAVEN'T WIN YET! I..." he took a shaky breath, "I..."

"Gray.."

Gray's head shot up, his dark eyes met her blue ones.

Juvia looked into his eyes filled with sorrow.

"I'm sorry."

Gray's heart sunk down in his stomach, he could feel his heart crashing down.

"Let me go."

"No," he whispered, he blinked his tears away. "I WILL NEVER LET YOU GO!"

Juvia smiled at him, tears streaming down on her face.

"I wish we could be together."

Gray slowly shook his head, his hand slipping away from her hand.

"No... We will!"

As Gray was going to tighten again, his hold on her, Juvia had let go of his grasp, and slowly succumb to the black hole, her arm still outstretched where Gray had held her.

Gray stared at the now closed gate, his mouth agape by the precious moments he had seen with his eyes.

Fairy Tail and the rest of the mages shouted in glory. However...

Gray fell down on his knees, his bangs covering his eyes. He saw again a loss. A loss of his secret love.

The broken-hearted Ice mage screamed in agony as he blasted Ice magic towards the closed gate.

Now, I know you're wondering how and why did the Gate sucked Juvia?
