Summary: The team are forced to enter a singing charity event

"Grissom!" Yelled a voice "What?" Grissom growled, stopped from walking down the CSI hallways and turned around "Um" Nick said, suddenly nervous "I don't have all day, Nick" Grissom replied starting to get annoyed "Okay well, you know how the day shift was supposed to do a charity event? Well they don't want to do it any more and the sheriff asked who wanted to do it and Catherine volunteered the night shift" Nick said really fast hoping that if he said it fast the reaction mightented be so bad "What fundraiser?" Grissom said "The singing one, okay well I have to go now, see ya round" Nick ran back down the hall before Grissom had time to react
"Catherine!!" Grissom yelled He walked around the halls finally coming to rest on the blonde haired woman sleeping in the Break room "Catherine" Grissom said walking up to her and waking her up "Wha..oh shit!!, sorry I was just having a rest and I must've slept longer than I thought" She stood up
Straightening her shirt "Um, that's fine, you were tired" Grissom said heading towards the coffee machine "Yeh, what did you want?" she said taking coffee from him "I would like to know why you signed the night shift up for this fundraiser thing?" he said looking at her closely "It could be fun, we are helping people and well I could see some talents from the team I haven't seen before" she said sitting down "What sort of talents? What do we have to do?" he said sitting down on the other side of the table "Didn't Nick tell you?" Catherine said not looking at him "No, he mumbled something but I couldn't hear him" Grissom said "It's a singing competition" Catherine said looking at her hands "WHAT????" Grissom yelled attracting attention of passer-bys "Look before you start yelling everyone else agreed – it was a spur of the moment thing and when I realised that you probably wouldn't like it I tried to get out of it but the sheriff wouldn't let me" she said quickly "And now were committed" she added Grissom breathed out deeply looked up at her "Okay, what do we have to do?" he asked "Um, well Sara, Nick, Warr, Me, You and Greg if he wants have to sing a song in front of like tons of people" she said already cringing "Sing a song?!, I can't sing and I don't think anyone else can- what are we going to do?" Grissom said taking of his glasses and pinching the bridge of his nose "I don't know we will discuss this with the others later – I have to go and pick up Lindsay" she said putting her cup in the sink and grabbing her stuff "Okay, see you next shift – say hi to Linds for me" he said standing up "Kay bye" and with that she was gone.
