"I'm not kissing her," said the tallest of four teens as they stood under the mistletoe.
"Well you can't kiss Ginny, she's your sister," the dark haired boy said to his friend. "You won't kiss Hermione... Oh well," he said before grabbing the taller boy and planting a kiss on his lips. Ginny's laughter brought everyone in the common room's attention to the two boys. Hermione stared at them both, her face a mixture of shock and rage.
"Well that was certainly entertaining, disturbing, but entertaining. Never figured I'd see you snogging my brother," Ginny said smiling.
"Me either, though I don't know what possessed him to use tongue," the dark haired boy said with a conspiratory wink only Ginny saw.
"What? I did no such thing, you... you..." The tall boy trailed off as he fervently wiped his mouth off on the sleeve of his robe. "Harry you prat."
"Well, you two haven't kissed anyone yet and you're under the mistletoe," Harry said to the to girls. "I guess since Ron refuses to kiss you, it'll either be me or Ginny." At this Ginny turned to Hermione and batted her eyelashes, barely containing her laughter. A snort from Harry at this showed he was having the same problem.
Eyes rounded Hermione looked back and forth nervously, "I'm not, I mean, I can't kiss Ginny and..."
"Guess it's up to me then," Harry said closing the distance between Hermione and himself. However Ron's arm, and a vicious glare, stopped him.
"You aren't going to kiss Hermione," Ron said. Then when Ginny went to open her mouth, "and neither are you!" With that Ron closed in and planted a kiss on the still flummoxed Hermione. Of course, the kiss just flummoxed them both more as they seemed to forget that the kiss under the mistletoe didn't need to turn into a full on snogfest.
"Looks like they're going to be at it awhile," Ginny said grinning. "I think they have a lot to make up for."
"I believe it," Harry said with a smile to Ginny. "Well, looks like you're the only one who hasn't gotten their kiss. Hope you're not too disappointed it's me instead of Hermione."
"No no, I think you'll manage just fine," Ginny said.
Ginny moved over to stand on her tiptoes for her kiss. Harry bent his head down and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her in for a kiss as her warms wrapped around his neck. It seems they'd forgotten the same thing about mistletoe as Ron and Hermione, as they spent a good couple of minutes snogging. Finally they broke apart, staring deeply into the others' eyes.
"I've wanted to do that for as long as I can remember," Ginny said quietly, her breath gently caressing Harry's lips when she spoke.
"Well, I've wanted to do that for awhile myself," Harry said with a smile and twinkle in his eye. Especially at the shocked look that crossed Ginny's face. "I'm oblivious at times Ginny, but I'm not stupid."
"Well that's good to know," Ginny said as she realized how close they still were.
"Another good thing to know," Harry said, "is that you're a much better kisser than your brother."
