Part 1 - Flora Brown's first year at Hogwarts
------
" Flora, wake up, it's time for you to go to the train station!", her mother said to Flora softly.
"Mother, it's only 8:00 and the train doesn't leave till 11:30" she replied groggily.
"Well, I thought you would want to get up a little early so you could wash and fix your self up a little." " You're so many different than Lavender." "She got up at 6:00 just to get her self ready for the train ride." "You have never really taken time with your appearance as your sister has" Flora's mother told her as she leaned against her door.
" Mother, I have told you a million times how I feel about that, This is the way I am and I do take some time with my appearance, but it's the only thing in Lave's mind", she explained to her as she slowly but surely arose from bed and pulled the covers over.
"What are you going to wear?" Mrs. Brown asked.
"I'm wearing this"; Flora pointed to an outfit hanging on her closet door. It was a deep purple, capped sleeve shirt that had a v-neck and a white cotton skirt with ribbed edges (lined with purple) and a small embroidery of a floral bouquet in the corner.
"You, better get in the shower, because once Lavender is in the bathroom, she'll never get out", her mother told her.
* * * *
Flora's shower was long and relaxing, many times through it she could hear the muffled sound of somebody in her house frapping on the door and telling her to get out.
When she was done, she wrapped her hair in a towel and got dressed. She stood in front of the mirror and brushed her long mane of brown hair. At this moment her hair was straight, but in about an hour it would shrink into tight spiral curls which complemented her frosty green eyes beautifully.
Flora decided to keep her hair down. To do so there was a procedure to carry out, that Flora hated. 1. Apply leave in conditioner
2. Apply moose
3. Apply curl enhancer (rids frizzies)
4. Apply gel
5. Scrunch
To impress her mother and sister, she would put on a little make-up. But only some fine powdered glitter to her eyelids and honey lip-gloss.
Her bags were packed from the night before, and was waiting by the car.
Mrs. Brown and Lavender arrived and complemented her make-up. They buckled up in there little ford focus and sped off.
Lavender turned around from the front seat, "Aren't you excited about the train!"
"I hate the train, I get motion sickness", Lavender knew very well that her younger sister gets sick in the train, but Lavender just has to make comments on everything.
